My new book, "Gobba Gobba Hey: A Gob Cook Book" will be out this summer, from Bloomsbury USA. My last book, "The Warmest Room In The House," has been called "vivid, funny and absorbing" by The New York Times Book Review, "a delight, rich but restrained" by The Atlantic Monthly, "literary comfort food" by A Very Short List, and "well-researched and entertaining" by Publisher's Weekly. It was also named one of the Best Books of 2008 by the Chicago Tribune.
I've written for publications such as Cooking Light (though none of my recipes here are particularly "light,") Details, Time Out, Rollingstone.com, The Progressive Populist, The Advocate and The Washington Post, to name a few.
My blog, The Warmest Room In The House, will pick up where my book left off - looking at the recipes and trends that are influencing my own kitchen as well as looking at the food-related politics currently on my plate.
